Let me first start off by saying, this trick took me a long time to learn. Staying focused. Life is busy, we are busy, but then all of a sudden you realize your living your life for everyone else. What in the world?! So, actually sitting down with regularity to write out goals, heck, having goals to write out is so foreign to me! It works! I have never felt more focused and clear in my life, and as a busy Mama that is valuable. Yes, it takes some time, yes it is creating a new ritual. If you ask me and the other planners of the world it is everything! You will find more time and be happier. That is worth a few minutes a day to me!
Here they are, simple statements that will (hopefully) turn into your mantra for the week. In the beginning of each week, I want you to sit down and come up with your “Be Focused On:” theme for the week. Think of your week ahead, what do you need to accomplish? What do you need to see more of? Because your week is so busy these phrases become everything. They are your little reminders that you were hustling for a little bit extra this week.
So, be focused on one thing per week. This allows you to focus on the one thing instead, which will allow you to succeed. Because your healthy mind and body journey can be overwhelming to focus on all the things. I feel focusing on one thing, one week at a time, keeps it simple enough that it is doable. And doable is what we are looking for.
Eventually these things will become a ritual, something you just do. Until then, they need some forethought. So, here are some things that could use some of that…as the prompt in your calendar reads…
Be Focused On:
- Water Intake
- Each Meal Helps My Body-Refer to Help v. Hurt in Calendar
- Positive Self Talk-is everything!
- Confidence
- Fitting in Workouts
- Fun-yes, you need to schedule this in!
- Planning Ahead-Yes, plan ahead to plan ahead.
- Adding in A Healthy Shake
- Adding in Greens for 3 Meals
- Looking for Things to BE Grateful For
- Not Giving up-Sometimes this is the most important thing to focus on!
- Not Being Distracted-who isn’t now a days?!
- Mel Robbins Rule 5,4,3,2,1, GO! Just do it-On those weeks you just need to get things done.
- Hobbies-focusing on something you truly love that relaxes you (healthy mind, healthy body)
- Control Alcohol Intake
- Sleep-getting at least 8 hours every night
- Controlling Where You Give Your Energy-Focus on who/what you allow to give your energy to
- Distance Yourself From Hurtful Relationship-ain’t nobody got time for that!
- Letting Things Go-so you can focus on starting over to innovate everyday
- Quality Time With Family
- Quality Time With Your Higher Power
- Stay In Your Own Lane-with all the comparisons today, it is important to remember your lane is the only one that matters.
